Club Paradise
Club Paradise was the third of four songs Drake posted to the OVO blog ahead of Take Care, released September 10, 2011, produced by Noah '40' Shebib with backing vocals on the chorus from a then-emerging The Weeknd. It is widely read as a melancholy reflection on success and the people and city left behind, the title a reference to a Toronto strip club, and it lent its name to Drake's 2012 headlining Club Paradise Tour (which featured A$AP Rocky and Kendrick Lamar). The original's spoken Bob Marley interview outro is absent from the Care Package version, most likely an uncleared sample. On the compilation it functions as both a strong reflective cut and a marker of a defining early-career era.
