My Side circulated as part of the If You're Reading This It's Too Late period and appeared as a physical-edition bonus track for that 2015 mixtape (sequenced directly after 'How Bout Now'). Produced by Noah '40' Shebib and Noel Cadastre with co-production from Boi-1da, and co-written by Jahron 'PartyNextDoor' Brathwaite, it is widely read as a hushed, nocturnal relationship record built around presence and possession, Drake wanting a partner physically and emotionally beside him, with the undercurrent of control that runs through much of his romantic writing. On Care Package it adds to the album's portrait of his quieter, more unguarded loosie mode, the side of his catalog the compilation was assembled to preserve.
