Find Your Love is the song that announced Drake was not just going to rap-sing — he was going to fully sing pop. Produced and co-written by Kanye West during the 808s & Heartbreak era's creative residue, the track sits inside Thank Me Later as a glossy mid-tempo pop ballad with airy synths and a soft drum-machine pulse. Drake spends the song in committed-vocal mode, asking a partner to be willing to risk the relationship in order for it to be real. It's widely read as an early instance of Drake using his second studio single to make a structural argument about his identity as an artist — that the line between rapper and pop singer was, for him, going to be a useful blur. The Anthony Mandler-directed video, shot in Jamaica, leans into a stylized reggae/sound-system aesthetic and was the subject of debate at the time over its outsider depiction of Kingston nightlife.
