"Share" works the tension in its title — what one's willing to give versus keep, in relationships, success, or self. It reads as an early version of the ambivalence about closeness and possession that recurs across Drake's later relationship writing. The 40 and Boi-1da production keeps it soft and melodic, leaning toward the sung-adjacent texture that would become central to his sound. As a Comeback Season deep cut it's modest, but it's one of the tracks where the emotional nuance is closer to mature Drake than to mixtape filler. In the long view it's a small piece of evidence that the complicated, push-pull way he'd write about wanting people was forming early, before he had the platform to make it famous.
