Do What U Do
Featuring No Malice, Nickelus F
"Do What U Do" echoes a title and idea Drake had already used on Room for Improvement, returning here on Comeback Season in slightly evolved form. It reads as another pass at the authenticity-and-self-direction theme — be yourself, move your own way — handled with a year more polish. The 40 and Boi-1da production keeps it warm and melodic, again pointing toward the sung-adjacent sound he'd soon commit to fully. As a deep cut it's modest, but the fact that Drake revisited the concept across both early tapes underlines how much the do-your-own-thing message mattered to his self-image during the come-up. A small marker of continuity between his first two releases.
