The title track gives Comeback Season its organizing idea: resilience, return, a sharpened second push. It reads as a young Drake leaning fully into a narrative of bouncing back — striking on a tape this early, since there was no public fall to recover from, which makes the comeback framing aspirational and almost mythological. That instinct to narrate his own arc as a saga, complete with setbacks and returns, is one of the most durable features of his later work, and here it's stated outright. The 40 and Boi-1da production keeps it determined and dim. As the conceptual center of the tape, it's the clearest articulation of the self-mythologizing drive that would eventually scale to stadium size.
