Wheezy is the production name of Wesley Tyler Glass, an Atlanta producer most closely associated with Young Thug and the YSL roster. He built a signature out of pitched flute and string loops, fast hi-hats, and a producer tag (Wheezy outta here) that became one of the most recognizable in late-2010s rap. Within the Drake catalog his credits surface on records that lean into the Atlanta sound, often when Drake is rapping over harder trap textures. Outside Drake his deepest body of work is with Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Baby, and Travis Scott. The 2020s Atlanta trap canon would be substantially smaller without Wheezy's catalog, and his crossover into Drake's project credits reflects how the OVO sound increasingly drew from Atlanta-rooted producers during the late-2010s and early-2020s peak of the regional style.
